Plume is a vintage and modern boutique located at 3001 S Kinnickinnic Avenue in Milwaukee’s Bayview neighborhood, offering a personalized shopping experience for those interested in fashion, sustainability, and the arts. Founded through a five-year friendship and collaboration between owners Maggie Solveson and Sheila Teruty, who each had established online vintage clothing businesses, Plume features a curated selection of vintage apparel, shoes, accessories, furniture, home goods, and handmade items sourced from across the nation alongside local products from artists and small business owners. The boutique emphasizes community engagement and has served as a space to host Milwaukee events and showcase local talent since opening, reflecting the owners’ commitment to supporting their city while offering fashion-forward, sophisticated yet accessible pieces. With three floors to explore and a tagline of “Birds of All Feathers,” Plume welcomes people from all walks of life and creates a welcoming atmosphere that celebrates individuality and sustainable shopping practices.
