To Hell & Back Vintage is a Wisconsin-based vintage clothing and sew shop specializing in denim repairs, garment mending, handpicked vintage finds, and reclaimed textiles. Founded in 2018, owners Andrea Dolter and Nate Fleege relocated from Denver to Milwaukee in 2022, establishing their first brick-and-mortar location in 2023 in the Walker’s Point neighborhood before opening an expanded space at 700 South 5th Street. Beyond retail, the business actively supports the community through its Purl Jam Fiber Club knitting circle, hosts vintage seller events, and offers professional mending and repair services by appointment. The shop also co-owns Sardines Vintage Collective, a vintage cooperative retail space in Bay View featuring multiple Milwaukee vintage sellers. To Hell & Back curates a selection of vintage clothing spanning multiple genders and styles, including denim, leather jackets, and workwear, with a commitment to sustainability and visible mending practices that extend garment lifespans.
