Downtown Vinyl

Downtown Vinyl is a vintage vinyl record store located at 1612 Capitol Avenue in Cheyenne, Wyoming, specializing in quality used vinyl records, 45s, CDs, cassettes, and 8-track tapes. Originally founded as Phoenix Books & Music, the store was renamed Downtown Vinyl and has been a staple in Cheyenne’s music scene for nearly two decades, most recently changing ownership in October 2025 to John Chernogorec, a longtime Cheyenne resident.
